What to do when a finger breaks on your Ortlieb Pannier

C&O Canal - new Ortlieb Panniers

Here I am packed and ready to ride along the C&O Canal Trail from Cumberland Maryland. About 20 minutes later one of the plastic fingers that attach the front pannier to the rack broke. I was able to complete the ride by securing the pannier with a bungee cord.

In the future, I will be traveling with a spare Ortlieb clamp.
